How Teichert Transformed SM-82 Through Collaboration 

Teichert Construction is proud to celebrate a major milestone on the SM-82 project, where more than 30 months of close collaboration with Caltrans through the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) delivery method has officially culminated in approved funding to move forward with construction. Selected as the CMGC partner in May 2023, Teichert’s team engaged at the 30% design stage and worked hand in hand with Caltrans to transform a project that was more than 100% over budget and not constructable into a fully viable, agreed-upon scope of work. This achievement reflects the power of the CMGC process, sustained commitment from every corner of the company, and the kind of collaborative partnership that defines how Teichert delivers for its clients.
