The Safest in the Nation

Teichert Materials Wins GOLD Sterling Safety Award from NSSGA

Teichert Materials has been awarded the Gold Louis Griesemer Sterling Safety Award in the large operations category by the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), the highest safety honor in the aggregate industry. Winning Gold means Teichert Materials posted the lowest total accident incidence rate among all large producers nationwide, a distinction that places the team at the very top of the industry for safety performance.

What makes this recognition especially significant is that companies cannot apply for it. The award is based solely on safety data reported to the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA), meaning it is earned entirely on the strength of real-world results. Established in 1994 and renamed in 2019 to honor Louis Griesemer’s lifelong dedication to safety in the aggregate industry, the Sterling Safety Award represents the gold standard for operational safety.

For Teichert, this achievement is a reflection of the culture that every member of the Materials team builds and reinforces every single day: a culture where safety is not a program or a priority that shifts with circumstances, but a core value that drives how work is planned, executed, and measured. Congratulations to the entire Teichert Materials team. This is what it looks like when an organization commits to being the safest in the business, and delivers.
