Employee Spotlight: Yesenia Gramajo
Yesenia Gramajo joined Teichert Renewables in January 2023 as Project Design Manager, after first crossing paths with the Solar team as a third-party consultant leading the solar design group at her San Diego engineering firm. What began as managing third party engineers and guiding the Teichert Pre-Check design quickly grew into something much larger. Yesenia built in-house design tools that let the team handle engineering for certain project types and reduce the need to outsource, and the group has since grown into a team of five.
Her responsibilities have kept widening ever since. She now oversees structural steel procurement, placing orders, managing inventory, and producing fabrication drawings for structural and light gage steel, while coordinating with vendors and fabricators to keep material accurate and on schedule. That procurement knowledge feeds right back into the work, helping her give clients realistic construction start dates and answer pre-construction questions. She also partners with the estimating team on member sizes, layout optimization, and foundation considerations to sharpen bid pricing, and she's become a go-to resource for the solar construction crews when field questions and challenges arise. Ask Yesenia what has kept her here, and she points to the people first: a team where everyone feels appreciated and where her own goals have been valued and met with room to grow. That, she says, is what sets Teichert apart. The company looks after its people and recognizes each individual while still moving fluidly as one team, and it's a rare thing to work somewhere that cares this much about both your work and you.
