Employee Spotlight – Alex Salcedo
Alex's story at Teichert is one of consistently taking advantage of opportunities, growing from a dispatcher at the Turlock office in 1998 to Area Manager of Teichert Construction's Stockton office today.
Over the course of his career, Alex moved through roles as a project engineer, assistant project manager, and project manager before spending two years in estimating - a stretch he credits as the most formative of his career. Learning how jobs get bid and built from the ground up gave him a perspective that shaped everything that followed. He later added superintendent experience before returning to project management, this time running large public works projects across Central California. Through office transitions in Turlock, Fresno, and Stockton, he continued to grow, becoming a Senior Project Manager in 2017 and Area Manager in 2019. All of this growth came without a college degree - just a willingness to learn and a drive to take on whatever came next.
Alex came to Teichert grateful for a job and left no doubt early on that he wanted to grow. The company gave him room to do exactly that, and the culture he found here kept him. Beyond the career, he'll tell you Teichert has given him more than he expected in ways that go well beyond the job. For anyone considering a career here, his advice is simple: the opportunity, the culture, and the work-life balance set Teichert apart - and if you're willing to put in the work, this is a place where a real career can take shape.
